Job Description
Catfoss Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a globally respected R&D company to recruit an Instrumentation Engineer on a permanent basis.
The primary responsibilities include manufacturing and installing instrumentation within R&D testing facilities, calibration, troubleshooting, and supporting the operation of testing facilities.
The role requires flexibility in working hours, including shift work, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Manufacture of bespoke wiring looms and assemblies based on circuit drawings.
* Hand soldering of components and wiring.
* Installation and wiring of miniature strain-gauges.
* Calibration, maintenance, and fault-finding of sensors and data acquisition systems.
* Support design and integration of instrumentation into models and rigs.
* Assist in operation and maintenance of test facilities.
* Record keeping and hardware maintenance.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Adhere to health & safety policies and work in confined spaces and at heights.
Training will be provided for all specialist activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideal candidates will be experienced, time-served technicians, preferably with HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with experience in R&D or commercial environments.
