Role details
The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to teams of healthcare professionals, as part of an integrated admin service across the MSK Pathway. The role will involve a high level of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative procedures and IT systems used within the Trust. The post holder could be the first point of contact for the service and therefore requires clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.
Duties to include but not limited to
* Answer incoming calls and help resolve any service enquiries.
* Plan, negotiate and allocate incoming jobs to appropriate team members across the service.
* Support on the collection, collation, analysis and interpretation of complex performance data and audit projects as requested.
* Work as a member across the administrative team providing extensive secretarial and administrative support to the team and be responsible for the effective management and efficient working of non-clinical aspects of the Service in accordance with all Trust policies and procedures.
* Work within departmental guidelines and procedures while supporting the effective running of the department which requires for example; managing patient appointments, reviewing and maintaining waiting list, updating clinical records both electronic and paper, recording referrals, typing clinical letters, filing and ordering resources.
* Set and maintain a high standard in all aspects of administrative work ensuring good communications systems within the service and across all departments and partner agencies, always ensuring strict confidentiality.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
