Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
Working arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship; BPSS required.

The opportunity
You will need experience of applying Human Factors in the development of complex systems, including Human Factors Integration and Human Centred Design throughout the development lifecycle. This includes analysis of the role of the human in complex systems, Human Computer Interface (HCI/UX) design and prototyping, physical ergonomics and user experiments and trials supporting system development. The military environment is becoming more complex, and Human Factors is critical to delivering safe, usable and effective weapon systems. In this role you will directly influence technology development, engaging users from concept through delivery to optimise the human‑machine relationship.
What you will be doing
* Join a team recognised by the UK MoD as an industry leader in Human Factors Integration.
* Influence system development from concept to delivery and gain experience working with military users.
* Conduct internally and externally funded research packages alongside core engineering projects.
* Develop both breadth and depth of Human Factors skill sets across diverse projects.
* Work internationally on bilateral and multinational projects as Human Factors evolves across the company.
* Access MBDA’s learning and development programme to support technical delivery and broader professional growth.
What we're looking for
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
* Demonstrable experience of Human Factors Integration and Engineering.
* Experience in HCI/UX design and interface prototyping.
* Experience applying physical ergonomics to equipment design, including use of CAE tools.
* Relevant Engineering or Science degree.
* Good understanding of Systems Engineering and related disciplines (Supportability, Training, Safety, Equipment).
