Facilities Engineer - Plumbing
Springfield Hospital - Chelmsford
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Springfield Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals, renowned for delivering high-quality treatments and services. Opened in 1987, the hospital has 49 bedrooms, including three twin-bedded rooms, all with en-suite facilities for privacy.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Facilities Engineer to join our dedicated facilities team.
You will be an expert in plumbing and heating, with skills in other trades, working as part of a team to provide maintenance services across the hospital.
The position is primarily based at Springfield Hospital, with support responsibilities at Oaks Hospital in Colchester and a basic knowledge of the Eastern Sterile Services Centre in Braintree for emergencies.
The role involves participating in an on-call rota, working 1 week in 5, with an additional pay rate for on-call duties.
What you will bring
* City & Guilds Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., Plumbing - C&G 6035, Craft, C&G 6189, Water Regulations, Unvented Systems)
* Full driver's license and access to a car
* Previous hospital facilities experience (desirable)
* A logical and practical approach, prioritizing patient and colleague safety
