Learning Disability Service – Block 9, Fieldhead Hospital, Wakefield, WF1 3SP
Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call.
SouthWest Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Wakefield LD Team based at Block 9, Fieldhead Hospital. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Barnsley Learning Disability Team.
The starting salary for this post is aligned with point 04 of the consultant pay scale (£119,490 – £145,478), in line with Trust policy for newly appointed consultants. Placement on the scale will be reviewed where applicable NHS consultant experience can be evidenced.

Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
* Additional clinical qualifications.

* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
* Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Learning Disability/General adult psychiatry OR within six months of gaining CCT.
* Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 - 6 months of appointment.
* Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
* In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
* Experience working in other medical specialties including general medicine, geriatric medicine and A&E.
* Experience in working in Learning Disability services.
