About the Role Peterborough City Council is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub this is a pivotal leadership role, ensuring that children and families receive timely, effective safeguarding interventions through a collaborative, multi-agency approach. As Service Manager, you will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership to a team that includes Team Managers, Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Children's Advice and Information Officers. You will champion best practice, drive service improvements, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage and supervise a Children and Families team, providing professional guidance and support. Multi-Agency Coordination: Identify and convene service meetings involving partner agencies, chair meetings where appropriate, and ensure clear outcomes and follow-up actions. Quality Assurance: Dip sample, audit, and produce regular reports for the Head of Service.
