We are looking for a Service Design & Transition Manager to join our Technology & Sustainability team based in Leavesden, Watford.
What you'll do:
1. Lead end-to-end design, development and transition of business centric IT services, ensuring they’re cost effective, supportable and aligned with enterprise strategy and architecture.
2. Own SIAM governance for multi supplier service integration: set design standards, define roles, and ensure supplier coordination and compliance.
3. Plan and deliver operational readiness and transition activities (SDPs, impact assessments, cutovers, early life support) to ensure smooth handover to operations.
4. Integrate new/changed applications, platforms, infrastructure and third‑party services into the UK IT environment, service portfolio and CMDB.
5. Partner with architects, service managers, project teams, vendors and business stakeholders to assure stability, performance and long‑term value.
6. Drive continuous improvement and measurable business outcomes through post‑transition reviews, lessons learned and ongoing service optimisation.
What you'll bring to the role:
7. Proven track record leading IT Service Design and Transition across multi-stakeholder, multi-vendor environments, including transitions into live operation.
8. Strong ITIL and SIAM expertise with ability to design service portfolios, governance, and cohesive multi-supplier integration.
9. Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
10. Experience with incident, problem, and change management, plus cost modelling and future cost allocation.
11. Business-focused, service-driven mindset with familiarity in service/product thinking; capable of working independently and in teams.
12. Self-motivated, results-oriented leader.
