Purpose of the role
Responsible for maintaining accurate training records across the factory, ensuring strong governance and compliance with business and customer requirements. Additionally, this role owns the site induction process for factory positions and delivers training sessions across the site.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 5 pm and Friday: 8:30 am – 4 pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensure training matrices and electronic files, including on the Learning Management System, are accurately maintained and meet audit standards and customer requirements.
* Work in partnership with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Teams to ensure a correct balance of compliance (not overwhelming operations but maintaining compliance).
* Develop good course content and training materials, ensuring document controls and content are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
* Ensure reporting structures are in place that drive action and demonstrate compliance (completion rates, training hours, no shows).
* Develop and report training KPI’s on a weekly and monthly basis as agreed.
* Work with factory to put plans in place to recover failed KPI’s.
* Ensure new starters/ employees who move role receive appropriate training within agreed timescales – first 12 weeks, 6 months and 12 months and actively support hands‑on training.
* Ensure refresher training is completed.
* Manage overarching training systems infrastructure, developing ways to become paperless.
* Develop 12‑month plan and continually update to keep site training plan in line with legislative and customer requirements.
* Coach and mentor team members in processes and procedures to ensure full understanding, escalating any issues to Factory Manager and Head of Operations.
* Provide support during audit process.
* Ensure training documentation represents the brand of The Compleat Food Group.
Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities
* Know H&S responsibilities, site rules and bring to attention any issues that could affect health or safety.
* Work in a safe manner at all times.
* Fully comply with all signage, notices, warning labels, etc.
* Report hazards or unsafe conditions and participate in all H&S training sessions and toolbox talks.
* Maintain a good standard of housekeeping in the working environment to minimize injury risks.
* Use and store protective clothing and equipment correctly.
* Report injuries, near misses and instances of ill health to manager and seek First Aid treatment.
* Assist in investigating accidents to prevent recurrence.
* Set a good example of safe behaviour, particularly to new starters and young persons.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities
* Work to required food safety and quality standards and observe site personal hygiene requirements.
* Ensure correct procedures are followed and paperwork is accurate; maintain product quality.
* Maintain a clean and tidy working area, encouraging good practice and challenging poor practice related to CAYG and GMP.
* Be flexible to cover all shifts within factory as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Standards.
* Good level of IT skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Good understanding of quality, results and customer service.
