Early Years Practitioner
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Crank Nursery. We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic dedicated early years practitioner willing to be committed to providing the highest quality of care, learning and education to all our children and their families as they are at the heart of everything that we do. You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter and happiness is something you can except to engage in daily. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of safeguarding, child development and the EYFS Framework.
Main Duties
· Working with babies form three months to four years.
· Working as a key worker.
· To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met.
· To keep records of your key children's development and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life.
· To work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment so all children can develop and learn.
· To follow the Nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure.
· Support parents/carers and other family members.
· To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
· To advise the Manager of any concerns.
· To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, summer fayre, etc.
· To be flexible within working practices of the setting. Be prepared to help where needed including undertaking certain domestic jobs, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc. within the Nursery.
· To work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the setting's philosophy is fulfilled.
· Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting as deemed by the management team.
· To respect confidentiality of all information received.
· Look upon the Nursery as a "whole" where can your help be most utilised. Be constantly aware of the individual needs of all children.
· Ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.
· Recording accidents/incidents on the relevant forms. Ensure the Duy Manager has signed the report before a parent receives it.
· Ensure someone known and agreed by the Nursery and parent collects the child.

Schedule
Monday to Friday working between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm on site only. We can be flexible for each candidate.
Experience
Childcare: one year (preferred)
Certification
