This is a business operating in one of the UK’s mostcompetitive and high-profile planning markets. Their portfolio includesresidential-led developments, complex infill schemes, sensitive heritagesettings, and major regeneration opportunities requiring careful stakeholderengagement and high-quality planning strategy.
The consultancy is known for its ability to navigatepolitically sensitive planning environments, providing clients with clearadvice, risk management and deliverable planning outcomes.
The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will take responsibility formanaging projects and acting as the day-to-day planning advisor for clients.
Responsibilities will include:
* Leadingresidential planning applications through to determination
* Draftingdetailed Planning Statements and planning strategy reports
* Managingstakeholder engagement and authority negotiations
* Representingclients at planning committee
* SupportingLocal Plan representations and consultation responses
* Assistingwith appeal submissions where required
* Mentoringjunior planners and supporting team delivery
You will work on a mix of projects ranging from smallerhigh-value schemes through to larger strategic residential opportunities.
About You
* MRTPIqualified or close to achieving chartership
* Confidentcommunicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
* Strongreport writing and technical planning ability
* Commerciallyaware with a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset
