Role Overview:Reporting directly to the Chief of Operations, the Interim Director of Global Network will lead regional network services to maintain optimum delivery during a period of re-organisation and change. This role involves driving leadership, engagement, and performance culture to deliver the FCDO Services strategy, representing overseas interests, and contributing to wider organisational objectives and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Lead all global network services, ensuring effective management of support areas such as technical leads, service management, management information, and helpdesks.
6. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
7. Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in global delivery.
8. Assess and forecast financial performance, manage activity to deliver agreed financial and revenue oues.
9. Deliver the annual Delivery Plan including the workforce strategy for the Global network.
10. Ensure high standards of service delivery and consistency across the globe.
11. Manage technical security and property management services, including Estates remedial programmes and small works projects.
Small Works Projects:
12. Estates Remedial Programmes: Maintenance and repair tasks to ensure properties meet safety and operational standards.
13. Property Management Services: Overseeing the upkeep and functionality of various properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and secure.
14. Technical Security Services: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect properties and their occupants.
15. Small Works Projects: Minor construction, refurbishment, and repair tasks to improve or maintain facilities.

16. Embassies: Buildings housing diplomatic missions and staff, requiring secure and well-maintained environments.
17. Various offices used byernment departments and agencies, both in the UK and overseas.
18. Secure Facilities: Locations hosting secure servers andmunications installations, often requiring advanced security measures.
19. Residential Properties: Housing for diplomatic staff and otherernment employees, ensuring they are safe andfortable.
20. Technical Security Installations: Sites where security systems and equipment are installed and maintained to protect sensitive information and personnel.
Skills and Experience Required:
21. Professional qualification and/or membership of a Chartered Institute or recognised professional body.
22. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
23. Extensive operational and senior management experience in a global,plex service delivery environment.
24. Proven experience of managing high-performing teams in remote working environments.
25. Strong interpersonal andmunication skills with the ability to influence and empower others.
26. Ability to develop and successfully lead the implementation of strategy and strategic objectives.
27. Strongmercial acumen and drive for outstanding customer excellence.
28. Experience in large-scale project and programme delivery.
29. Current DV Clearance is desirable.
