Job Title: Teacher of English (Maternity Cover) Location: Coventry Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-term (Approx. 10 months) Start Date: February 2026 Salary: MPS/UPS £32,916.00 to £51,048.00 per annum About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join our team on a 10-month maternity cover contract starting February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in English Language and Literature, fostering a love of learning and helping them achieve their full potential. You will deliver high-quality lessons, contribute to curriculum planning, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities Teach English across Key Stages in line with the National Curriculum. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect. Contribute to departmental development and whole-school initiatives. What We're Looking For Qualifications: A degree in English or a related subject. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience: Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting. Ability to deliver lessons that challenge and inspire students.
