The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team to work with exciting industry-leading products, delivering market-leading standards and ensuring an enhanced customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfillment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts and other partners. The role will involve:
* Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, on-time-in-full (OTIF), and handling daily queries.
* Working with a northern UK account base.
* Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, including proactively developing existing accounts and finding new business opportunities.
* Collaborating with the Category Manager to forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
* Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' event/expo activities.
* Working with brand coaches to deliver technical training, promotional activities, and supporting retailers with up-to-date technical content.
* Managing and developing the Running customer order book to ensure timely fulfillment.
* Maintaining the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers, ensuring accurate contacts and engagement dates.
* Creating sell-in tools in multimedia formats for the Running categories and maintaining the Specialist Sports website with accurate product images, information, and marketing materials.
* Assisting with general sales inquiries via all media and working with the customer fulfillment team to ensure prompt order delivery.
* Performing other ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Category Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, or their representatives.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, especially running. The role is primarily field-based, with frequent travel to the Southampton office. Specialist Sports offers flexible working hours with core hours, but working times may vary depending on role requirements.
The candidate should be able to identify the needs of both new and existing customers to support their success by developing effective communication with clients and internal teams, understanding and mitigating potential issues.
