About the role
TWe are looking for an experienced bioinformatician, highly organised and detail-oriented. Our team has a strong collaborative footprint.
The ideal candidate would be a strong team player, capable to understand the bioinformatics need of different research streams, and capable of interacting with a broad range of external collaborators. You will work with different advanced bioinformatics technologies, dealing with both wet lab data generation (10x and Biolegend platforms) and in silico analyses through both R and Python pipelines.

About you
With this exciting PDRA opportunity, we are seeking a person with extensive experience in bioinformatics to join and support our team’s work, contributing to multiple projects currently running.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Essential
• PhD in Bioinformatics or related disciplines (awarded or pending VIVA)
• Extensive research experience at postgraduate level
• Proficient coding both in R and Python
• Effective data management skills, with meticulous management of large datasets and ability to carry out collaborative work on multiple parallel projects
• Familiarity with a broad range of multi-omic analyses (bulk/single cell RNAseq, proteomics, metabolomics)
• Excellent scientific communication skills (written and oral)
• Evidence of being able to bring large projects to completion with at least one article as first or co-first author
Desirable:
• Evidence of coordination and contribution to international collaborations
• Co-authorship in multiple research article and a keen interest in delivering highly collaborative work
• Knowledge of organoids/assembloids-based system
• Experience in supervision of research students / teaching exposure
• MRes/MSc in engineering / computer science
