Job Opportunity
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a visionary Early Years professional to join our vibrant school community and shape provision for our youngest children. We are looking for someone who can drive excellence in teaching, learning, safeguarding and outcomes for our Early Years pupils. The role will be that of an experienced, ambitious EYFS Leader/Class Teacher to further develop and enhance our provision and curriculum offer.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership for Early Years, including transition from nursery settings to Year 1.
* Be an inspirational Class Teacher in Reception in the first instance with leadership time provided.
* Lead the development and ongoing growth of Reception and Year 1 provision.
* Further develop and embed an ambitious EYFS curriculum rooted in best practice and promoting strong foundations.
* Line manage and develop EYFS staff, building a skilled and motivated team.
* Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, care and inclusion.
* Work closely with families and external agencies to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
* Contribute actively to whole-setting leadership, self‑evaluation and improvement planning.
Qualifications & Competencies
* Experienced EYFS / Key Stage 1 teacher with strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework.
* Vision, drive and organisational skills to establish and lead a reception provision.
* Excellent leadership, communication and team‑building skills.
* Passionate about inclusive practice and early intervention.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
* Ability to speak fluent and spoken English – essential requirement (Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016).
