HGV Class 1 Driver – Livingston People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Livingston. Shifts • Any 5 days from 7 • Dayshift, Backshift and Nightshift available • Flexible start times Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour – Basic Benefits • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate starts • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties • Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required) • Operating and driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is correctly loaded and secured • Adhering to traffic laws and driving regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues • Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills • Valid UK Category CE licence • Minimum 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements) • Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and time-keeping • Strong understanding of road transport regulations • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training Provided • Driver assessment required before starting • One-day paid induction following successful assessment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
