Overview
CRS are currently assisting our Land Investigation Client in sourcing a Workshop Foreman Fitter to join the team on a full time permanent basis in the West Calder area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties relating to a fleet of multi-functional Rigs as well as various plant equipment. The position will be workshop based, including a requirement for site-based work.
Responsibilities
* Co-ordinating the maintenance schedules of the various items of plant and machinery.
* Conducting regular servicing of plant and equipment in the workshop (site servicing may also be required).
* Assisting the Plant Maintenance Manager with general duties and supplying holiday cover including supervision of the Fitters and their duties.
* Ensuring Health and Safety compliance throughout the workshop and surrounding areas.
* Maintaining plant and equipment records.
* Assist with telephone requests from Sites and prioritise call outs to breakdowns.
Foreman Fitter Requirements
* Applicants must be qualified and have a thorough knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, have a background preferably in the field of Drilling and have experience of Engine Diagnostics, Hydraulics and Electrical systems.
* Experience working with diesel engines is also an advantage.
* Be competent in the use of computers and applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel for maintaining records and job sheets.
* Must have previous experience of a Foreman role.
Applicants Must Also Hold
* A valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
* A full UK Driving Licence.

Location: West Lothian, with sites being based across the central belt of Scotland.
Salary: To £48k basic, dependent on experience. Overtime at higher rates is available.
