Job overview
The role includes working in a variety of modalities in Radiology. All modalities deal with the diagnosis and treatment involved in giving the patient the best possible experience, with their journey through the department. Working alongside Nurses, Radiographers, Radiologists, and administration personnel will help in your development to becoming a Competent, Committed, and Courageous team member, who will show a Compassionate and Caring attitude when Communicating with all service users.
Main duties of the job
1. Supporting Nursing staff, Radiographers & Radiologists with invasive procedure's.
2. Assisting the Radiologists with drainages, fine needle aspirations & biopsies.
3. Daily checks to be completed in each modality.
4. Support other Radiology Assistants.
5. Assist with ordering, receiving equipment & placing in the store cupboard.
6. Support the Nurse's in the Day Care Unit with admissions, caring for the patient post procedure & discharges.
