Casual Behaviour Support Worker
Location: East Lancashire (PRUs & Alternative Provisions)
Contract: Casual / Flexible Work
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Hours: 8:30 - 3:30
We are recruiting a reliable and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to work on a casual basis across multiple educational settings in East Lancashire, including Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and Alternative Provisions.
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong behaviour management background who are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support
* Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs
* Assisting students to re-engage with learning and education
* Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
About the Settings:
PRUs and Alternative Provisions support pupils who may struggle in mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional or social needs. These settings focus on creating structured, supportive environments where pupils can develop positive behaviours, improve emotional regulation, and rebuild confidence in learning.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Strong behaviour management experience
* Backgrounds in support work, education, sports coaching, youth work or relevant personal experience are welcomed
* A degree in Psychology, Education or a related field is encouraged but not essential
* Calm, patient and consistent approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
