Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer searching for a new exciting challenge?
If the answer is yes- then look no further, Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.
Based at our manufacturing site in Folkestone, this role will involve maintenance and repairs of Production and Plant Equipment whilst driving efficiency through continuous improvement activities and automation developments.
Multi-Skilled Engineers ensure that regular checks and are completed and test plant equipment to ensure that they are operating within the correct specification. Working as part of a small team, you will execute maintenance procedures, prioritise all work in line with plant needs and production availability and ensuring that Health & Safety and Quality procedures are strictly followed.
As part of this role you will be required to work a 12-hour shift running on a rotating shift patterns from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
The ideal candidate must have both an Electrical and Mechanical background and experience of working on high speed lines in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business.
You must be an enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills with all levels of staff and contractors within the business
Education and Experience required:
1. Extensive experience of working with processing and packaging machinery
2. Mechanical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
3. Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
4. Experience of troubleshooting and resolving PLC & Robotic issues
5. Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
6. Working knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects
7. Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
8. Basic Lean Six Sigma Knowledge/Qualifications is ideal
