At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
As Cities & Places, we create thriving places across different scales from regions to cities, neighbourhoods to individual buildings, by offering an integrated design approach. We have a tremendous opportunity to build upon strength to develop an interdisciplinary planning, design and delivery practice that is uniquely Jacobs, that sets the direction for the industry and is home to the very best and brightest design thinkers, disruptors, technical experts, visionaries and storytellers.
We're looking for someone who can truly make an impact — and if you're a Public Health Engineering expert with a passion for solving complex challenges, this could be the perfect fit.
With Jacobs' expanding portfolio and long-standing client relationships, you'll be stepping into a team that's working on everything from cutting-edge research facilities and defence infrastructure to community decarbonisation, education, and international high-tech projects.
Your experience will help shape the future of these projects.
As a technical lead, you'll bring your deep knowledge and practical insight to guide design delivery and integrate disciplines across multi-layered projects. Your ability to translate technical complexity into clear, actionable plans will be key to ensuring smooth delivery and high-quality outcomes.
You'll add value by
Leading with clarity and confidence, helping teams stay aligned and focused.
Bringing a collaborative mindset and a positive, can-do attitude that lifts those around you.
Running effective check-ins, resolving blockers early, and keeping design development on track.
Working independently and owning your decisions, while staying connected to the wider team.
Coordinating across disciplines, especially in multi-disciplinary environments, where your ability to connect the dots will be crucial.
Beyond the technical side, you'll play a key role in shaping how we work — promoting smarter methods, driving high-value solutions, and engaging with colleagues across Jacobs to raise the bar.
This is more than just a role — it's a chance to lead, influence, and grow within a team that's delivering meaningful work across the UK and beyond.
