Responsibilities
:
1. Explainplex financial concepts to non-finance experts and contribute to product design.
2. Quickly understand and adopt new concepts.
3. Drive business growth by supporting the Proposition team to design innovative, efficient, and financially sound product solutions.
4. Support delivery of solutions for new propositions/products efficiently andmercially.
5. Engage with stakeholders in Finance and the wider business to track new development areas, present Actuarial Model and Valuations views, and identify dependencies to reduce blockers.
6. Liaise with the wider Finance team to provide high-quality actuarial reporting input, including Solvency II and IFRS 17 reporting.
7. Challenge the status quo, embrace change, strive for continuous improvements, and remain responsive to future business requirements.
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues and take accountability to maintain and enhance controls to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer oues, and reduce operational risk.
Stakeholder Management:
9. Engage with Finance BAU teams to understand existing methodology, processes, and controls.
10. Consult on impact assessments, requirements, solution implementation, and timelines.
11. Handover solutions to BAU to mitigate risks and ensure smooth transitions.
Methodologies and Requirements:
12. Provide clear methodologies and requirements for Actuarial Model and Valuations and the wider business, ensuring implementation aligns with control frameworks and long-term goals.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
13. Strong knowledge of financial services, regulatory and statutory frameworks (Solvency II, IFRS), and external reporting requirements.
14. Experience in preparing financial information for internal and external reporting, including capital reporting.
15. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills.
16. Knowledge of life and pensions products, markets, andpetitors.
17. Working knowledge ofernance, risk, andpliance processes.
18. Understanding ofmercial implications of decisions.
19. Experience using technologies to develop and improve processes.
20. Ability to disseminateplex information to stakeholders with varying degrees of sophistication.
21. Experience leveraging business understanding and finance knowledge to support the business and make insightful rmendations.
22. Ability to produce high-quality technical work within a controlled environment.
Qualifications:
23. Qualified actuary with extensive experience in the financial services sector.
