Due to the early retirement of our highly respected Headteacher, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint an exceptional leader who will inspire our school community and build on the strong foundations already in place.
Our unique school is a small, welcoming village primary school with a big heart. At the centre of everything we do is our belief that every child deserves to explore, create and grow in a supportive and inspiring environment. We are proud of our inclusive ethos, strong community links and the positive relationships that exist between pupils, staff, governors and families. The school was judged to be good by Ofsted in July 2025, recognising the quality of education, leadership and the nurturing environment we provide for our pupils.
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and visionary leader to shape the next chapter of our school’s journey. You will lead adedicated and passionate team who share a commitment to high standards, creativity in learning and ensuring every child flourishes academically, socially and emotionally.
The post includes a 0.4 teaching commitment, enabling the successful candidate to remain closely connected to classroom practice. Teaching days offer flexibility and will be agreed with the successful candidate.
Our pupils are taught in four mixed-age classes, and we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing environment where children are known, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

8. Is approachable, visible and able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, staff, governors and the wider community.
9. Has the strategic skills to ensure effective financial management and sustainable school development.
10. Will continue to build the strong partnership between the school and its Governing Body.
