Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring junior team members
* Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and safety compliance
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with regulatory requirements
* Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
* Ensure all food is prepared and presented to meet the establishment's standards of excellence
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service experiences
* Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold operational standards
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
* Extensive kitchen experience, including culinary expertise across various cuisines
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
* Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on quality service
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
