Royal Talens, a globally recognised producer of premium painting, drawing and creative materials, is seeking an ambitious Key Account Managerto strengthen our presence across key national accounts. With a heritage dating back to 1899 and a portfolio including Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Amsterdam, Sakura, Bruynzeel and Talens Art Creation, we are dedicated to innovation, craftsmanship and sustainability.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, this role is perfect for a commercially driven individual who thrives in building relationships, exploring new opportunities, and representing a highly respected global brand.
Role Overview
You will manage a balance of both existing strategic accounts and new business development (70/30 split). Operating across education, industrial and online channels, you will take ownership of market growth, account strategy, and commercial performance. The role requires regular travel, including at least two days per week at our Wokingham office, ideally when not traveling to be office based.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, nurture and expand key national accounts, ensuring long‑term profitable growth
* Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned sectors and channels
* Create structured account plans and translate them into targeted sales activities
* Analyse sales performance, market trends and competitor activity to guide strategy
* Collaborate closely with marketing to design and launch tailored campaigns
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams
* Lead and participate in significant sales projects and cross‑functional initiatives
* Represent Royal Talens professionally at events and via social media presence

Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a proactive, motivated and commercially astute individual with strong communication and negotiation abilities. Numerate, analytical, and highly proficient in Microsoft Office, you excel at building relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to a dynamic, creative industry. Experience in FMCG, arts, education, stationery, or related product sectors is advantageous.
To succeed in this role, you must be based within a reasonable and commutable distance of the office and able to travel as required.
