Project Health and Safety Advisor (construction) - West Yorkshire based (M62 corridor major projects across Yorkshire and the North-West) - well-established main building contractor. £55k-£60k+car or car allowance (£5k) and excellent package, working for a respected company providing extensive training and development opportunities.
Ensuring support for effective management of Health & Safety, responsibilities include:-
• Compliance with HSE legislation and the health, safety and environmental requirements
• Interface, communicate, liaise, and maintain effective relationships with Health, Safety and Environmental Management Team
• Produce reports and identify remedial action, ensuring effective implementation
• Ensure that Contractors employees, sub-contractors and suppliers all work in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Monitor housekeeping standards across the Contract, identify and implement improvement activities
• Review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
• Audit the permit to work process to ensure that company standards are maintained
• Provide COSHH assessments where required and ensure effectiveness of supply chain documentation
• Ensure that PPE is being used in accordance with requirements
• Ensure that health and safety signage and guards are in place and maintained
