Composite Finishing Technician - EveningsOur client, a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in Wymondham are currently seeking a Composite Finishing Technician/Carbon Fibre De-Moulding Operative.You will be responsible for carefully extracting cured composite parts from manufacturing moulds.The role requires high attention to detail along with a careful and methodical approach.This is a full time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 4:00pm-12:30am.Our client is ideally looking for somebody driven to progress within the composites industry, as there will be plenty of development opportunity.Skills and Experience Required:Attention to detail with exacting standardsExcellent hand-eye coordination to ensure standards are maintained.Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate, high-value parts, along with a proficiency with basic hand tools, drills and scraper blades etc.Previous background in laminating, composites manufacturing or hands-on assembly (desirable)Composites or engineering background with a desire to progress into the composites industry (desirable)Key Duties:Part Extraction Extract cured carbon fibre components safely from various types of toolingTool Care Use specific release wedges, slide hammers, and air tools without scratching mouldsNew Moulds Prepare carbon mould surface prior to seal and release processMould Preparation Clean, scrap and polish moulds after extraction to remove residual resinChemical Application Apply chemical release agents, sealers and waxes to prepared toolingPart Finishing Release, breather an vacuum bag parts from day shift ready for evening cureQuality Control Inspect de-moulded components visually for defects, voids or surface imperfectionsDocumentation Log completed batches and report any damaged tooling to SupervisorsHousekeeping Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace in line with operating standards.Benefits:Training and development opportunities (First 2 weeks training will take place on the dayshift, whilst you learn the role)20 days annual leave increasing to 25 days with service, plus Bank HolidaysCompany Pension scheme (employee 3% and employer 5%)Holiday purchase scheme, buy up to an additional 5 days annual leaveGroup Life Insurance (2x salary)Employee Assistance ProgrammeEmployee Referral schemeCycle to work schemeCompany workwearOn-site parkingFor further details please forward a copy of your CV today!Todd Hayes Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.
