Job Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and professional support to children and young people in a residential setting.
Assist with daily routines, including personal care, activities, and behavioural management.
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the well being of all residents.
Implement care plans and contribute to the development of individual support strategies.
Build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and health & safety policies and procedures.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
Support the organisation's values of diversity, resilience, and a positive group atmosphere.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with children and young people in a care setting.
Willing and proactive attitude towards work and personal development.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Full UK Driving Licence.
QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards the Residential Childcare qualification.
Ability to work flexible hours, including 2 days on and 4 days off, with occasional additional shifts to balance a 40-hour week.
Compliance with necessary documentation: DBS check, references, health & safety checks, and relevant certificates.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
What They Offer
Salary of £26,520 per annum (£12.75 per hour).
£65 sleep-in rate (flat fee).
