Position: Property Litigation Solicitor
Contract: 12 months Fixed Term Contract
Work Arrangement: 3 days WFH, subject to company policy
Location: London
Reporting To: Director of Legal and Head of Litigation
Direct Reports: N/A
Job purpose: To provide legal support within the litigation team of a leading Asset Manager, focusing on dispute resolution, litigation, and risk minimization. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related regulations is essential.
Key accountabilities:
1. Liaising with legal and senior management, including the Managing Director.
2. Handling own property litigation caseload, managing all stages from pre-litigation to trial.
3. Addressing ad-hoc building safety and property litigation matters.
4. Coordinating with external solicitors and Counsel, monitoring costs.
5. Providing internal legal advice on property legislation and compliance.
6. Maintaining case files, records, and reports.
7. Managing deadlines and safeguarding company interests.
8. Drafting and reviewing legal documents and advising on policies.
Skills and knowledge:
* Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales with current Practising Certificate.
* Minimum 5 years relevant post-qualification experience.
* Strong academic and professional qualifications.
* Experience with the Building Safety Act 2022.
* Experience with residential long leasehold properties.
* Attention to detail, integrity, reliability.
* Ability to work under pressure, good organizational skills.
* Effective communication and drafting skills.
* Experience in advocacy, conveyancing, property finance, and commercial transactions.
* Knowledge of GDPR legislation.
