By joining RBC as an Associate Relationship Manager (ARM), you open the door to an exciting career in Commercial Banking. This role will be attractive to individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver a superior experience to business clients. Individuals who may already be working in the financial, retail or service industry, have some experience being part of a sales team, who are comfortable engaging with clients and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement are most likely to thrive in this critical sales support role.

What will you do?

* Excel at needs discovery and solution development to provide commercial clients with advice for their day-to-day banking operations
* Partner with Relationship Managers to identify, plan & deliver the best solutions to clients and prospects based on strong knowledge of client’s operational requirements
* Support Relationship Manager in executing their client contact strategy and discovery, helping the RM with pre-contact planning for client meetings, integrating Client Relationship Plans (CRP) objectives and providing information on outstanding client requests.
* Demonstrate Risk and Portfolio Management Acumen by effectively managing RBC’s risk exposure and manages portfolio quality including delinquencies, expired credits and out of orders within benchmark levels
* Continuously look for opportunities to introduce partners and Centre of Influences to clients increasing their awareness of the breadth of RBC solutions available to services their current and future needs
* Execute exceptional client on-boarding, fulfilling on all business solutions sold and follow through with partners to ensure referral opportunities are successfully closed

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

* First degree in Finance, Business related field or equivalent professional qualification
* At least three (3) years’ experience in Banking
* Good working knowledge of the Group’s structure, policies, products/services
* Working knowledge of the targeted regional economies and industries
* Critical thinking, strong decision and problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency
* Understand/be able to read financial statements
* Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications)
