Role: Project Manager Location: Warwick Salary: competitive Work from home: 3x days onsite and 2x days remote We are looking to hire a Project Manager with experience of managing projects and overseeing the development of electronic products with embedded software and some amount of mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects from conception to completion and will be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the candidate will have experience of managing projects which design products and take them to market, as well as ensuring the products meet certification and regulatory requirements. Main Role: • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. • Manage projects across several disciplines taking products from conception through to production. • Identify and mitigate project risks. • Communicate project status to stakeholders. • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. • Collate project documentation and report on progress. • Ensure that all project deliverables are of high quality. • Ensure that all project documentation is complete and up to date. • Co-ordinate project resources schedules and activities ensuring that all internal processes from HR and Operations are followed. • Assist with quoting, project management, materials, purchasing and quality checks. • Manage projects developing products to various levels of maturity from one-off protypes to those intended for volume manufacture. • Manage engineers from across several disciplines working on each project. • Work closely with engineering team managers to ensure projects progress smoothly. • Work alongside other project leads to ensure all cost, time and quality targets for the individual project and department are achieved and maintained. Required skills: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Prince2 Project Management qualification or equivalent is desirable 5+ years of experience managing projects in a technical environment. Experience managing projects involving electronic products with embedded software and mechanical engineering. At least 8 years' experience within an engineering environment. You will have good working knowledge of the challenges surrounding electrification of transport and industry Experience of delivering projects to both time and budget Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and mitigate project risks. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
