The Lowry Academy is seeking a Vice Principal - Pastoral to lead on students’ behaviour, attitudes, and safeguarding. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with vision, experience, and energy to shape a forward-thinking approach to pastoral care and student wellbeing.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and evaluating the work of the pastoral team, including attendance and behaviour management.
* Developing strategies to support students in self-managing their behaviour.
* Monitoring and improving behaviour, attitudes, and attendance across the school.
* Ensuring legal compliance related to student behaviour.
* Leading staff professional development on behaviour and attitudes.
* Building partnerships with parents, external agencies, and the community.
* Managing a delegated budget related to behaviour and attitudes.
* Representing the school at external meetings and promoting the school in the community.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic leadership, commitment to safeguarding, and the ability to foster a positive school culture. This position reports directly to the Principal and is part of the Senior Leadership Team.
The role is based in Salford, with a salary on the Leadership Scale, Point 16 – 21 (£71,098 to £79,893), and full-time hours.
