Your new role As Newly Qualified Accountant reporting into the Director, you will: Accounts preparation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Own balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial data Draft statutory financial statements in line with accounting standards Prepare and file VAT, Tax and other returns, ensuring full compliance Support budgeting and forecasting cycles alongside budget holders Deliver financial analysis and business insights to inform strategic decisions Develop, improve and document financial processes and internal controls Lead or support projects such as system implementations or acquisitions Carry out other financial duties as required by the business What you’ll need to succeed Nearly or Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA) or Qualified by Experience within Accountancy Practice Newly qualified training from a good accounting firm Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Finance systems and reporting tools Commercial acumen and ability to challenge and support operational teams Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and strong organisational skills Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with your clients Agile approach, open to new challenges, and able to work both independently and in a team Must have: Full driving licence with access to a car, to travel to clients and occasional other offices What you’ll get in return Competitive salary circa £35,000 – 40,000k, or if highly experienced, will negotiate further.
