Commercial Accountant / Oldbury (On-site)
The Opportunity

As the Commercial Accountant, this isn't your typical "back-office" accounting role. You will be at the heart of the business, supporting international trade, managing complex cashflows, and providing the data-driven insights that steer commercial decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Administration & Operations
* Ledger Management:
Oversee accounts payable/receivable and assist with credit control.
* Banking:
Authorise payments and manage the supplier payment run schedule.
* Compliance & Admin:
Support the maintenance of necessary licenses and certificates, and assist with the company's ISO Quality System, HR, and Health & Safety administration.
Trading & Commercial Support
* Trader Liaison:
Actively support the trading team with contract input, pricing, and the purchasing of materials.
* Metal Hedging:
Assist with metal hedging activities to protect commercial margins.
* Reporting:
Produce monthly sales reports by country and provide detailed Trader Analysis Reporting to help drive performance.
International Treasury & Shipping
* Treasury Management:
Maintain and reconcile multi-currency (£, $, €) bank accounts and cashbooks.
* Logistics Coordination:
Manage the coordination of containers with shipping companies.
* Documentation:
Produce shipping and export documentation and prepare sales invoices (full training provided).
* Cashflow Strategy:
Provide weekly analysis for Letters of Credit (LCs) and Export Collections.
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years in an accounting position within a commercially focused company that has multicurrency requirements.
* The "Bonus" Skills:
Previous experience with Commodities or FX Hedging will give you a distinct advantage.
* Mindset:
You are comfortable working on-site within a busy industrial/warehouse setting and can communicate effectively across different departments.
* Qualifications:
Experience over qualifications is key within this role.

* Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 DOE
