About the Role We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our transdisciplinary team at Sybil Elgar School. You will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, neuroaffirming, evidence-informed speech and language therapy service for autistic children and young people with diverse profiles and associated needs. The role focuses on supporting communication, interaction, participation, and access to learning, helping to reduce barriers to engagement and embedding communication support within everyday school practice. What You’ll Do Deliver speech and language therapy assessment, intervention, advice, and reviews for pupils with a range of communication needs. Support pupils’ communication, interaction, emotional regulation, and access to the curriculum through a range of approaches. Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, families, and professionals to embed communication strategies into daily practice. What We’re Looking For HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist and member of RCSLT Experience or strong interest in working with autistic children and young people Commitment to neuroaffirming, strengths-based, evidence-informed practice Ability to work collaboratively within a transdisciplinary team Click here for the Job Description This role is a permanent contract (35 hours per week) with 12 weeks paid holiday a year, which must be taken within the existing school holidays for your school.
