Music Lecturer (Performance & Production) Access Creative College Plymouth Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week Salary: £23,810 - £25,157 per annum Location: Plymouth About the Role You will lead and inspire the next generation of music talent through your planning and delivery of the music curriculum. You will mark and assess learner projects, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best that they can be. You will be a role model, providing our learners with innovative, practical and employment-led training. The role requires you to collaborate with others to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team. We’re an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider that reach every corner of the country, with 7 campuses and over 2,500 students nationwide. We are part of Access Education Group which boasts 32 campuses nationwide with over 5,000 students & apprentices across ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education) & Access Sport Main Objectives To contribute to the successful delivery of curricula within the subject area To plan, design, develop, produce and deliver educational programmes and teaching/ assessment materials across a range of modules within a subject area(s) To engage in subject, professional and/or pedagogy scholarship, enterprise, research and/or innovation activity. To inspire young people within a variety of electronic music genres. Qualifications: A degree (BA/BSC) in Music Production / Performance or a relevant subject area (essential) A formal teaching qualification at level 4 (CTLLS or equivalent) or above (desirable) Instrument Performance Ability (Guitar/Keyboard) Knowledge and Experience Experience working in education (desirable) A demonstrable record of success in previous roles. Experience working and performing in bands Significant experience teaching Music Performance / Production (essential) Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area, syllabus requirements and appropriate teaching techniques; an awareness of requirements of awarding bodies.
