How will you do it?
With a technical yet personable approach, you’ll inspire the pharmacy team around you, ensuring our standards reflect our commitment to patient care. Legally and ethically, we aim to provide the very best service.
Accuracy and care are essential. You will oversee the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, leading the daily dispensary activities. You’ll be an expert in the technical aspects of medicine supply while delivering excellent patient care.
Guiding and supporting your pharmacy team and working closely with the Pharmacist and Store Leader, you’ll play a key role in growing our business.
What you’ll be doing day to day.
You will help ensure the safe and effective running of the pharmacy and healthcare services, managing the dispensary daily operations.
Your duties will include:
* Responsibility for legal, safe, and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
* Achieving targets for delivery of items and service income.
* Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards in Boots.
* Engaging with customers to ensure they leave informed and confident about their healthcare, and coaching team members to do the same.
* Seeking opportunities to collaborate with external stakeholders to secure locally commissioned services and promote services and products.
* Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
* Ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and checking prescriptions.
What you’ll need to have.
We offer an exciting career opportunity to advance your pharmacy journey. You should have an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Beyond experience, we’re looking for passionate individuals who support and lead the dispensary team and implement pharmacy strategies in collaboration with colleagues.
You also need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent to work within our dispensaries.
Potentially, you may wish to become an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT); we can provide training and support for this. As you develop your healthcare knowledge through these qualifications and roles, this will be reflected in your pay and benefits.
