We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury country house hotel and estate set within beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Our client is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Reception Team Leader to support the Front Office team in delivering a seamless, five-star arrival and departure experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest service while supporting and developing a front office team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the Reception team to deliver exceptional guest service
* Oversee daily front office operations including check-in, check-out, and guest queries
* Ensure a smooth and efficient arrival and departure experience for all guests
* Handle guest feedback, requests, and service recovery in a professional manner
* Support with training, coaching, and development of team members
* Assist with rota planning, task allocation, and daily operational organisation
* Maintain accurate guest profiles and ensure system updates are completed
* Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience
About You
* Previous experience in a Reception Supervisor or Front Office leadership role
* Strong background in luxury hospitality or five-star hotel environments
* Confident using hotel PMS systems (Opera or similar desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal xcswzye skills
* Calm, professional, and guest-focused under pressure
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* A natural leader with a hands-on and supportive approach
