Join our ICT team and gain hands-on experience supporting staff and students across the College while working towards your ICT apprenticeship qualification. You’ll develop real-world technical, communication and problem-solving skills, learning everything from hardware and software support to digital systems, troubleshooting and customer service.

And the best part? Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be offered a full-time position as an ICT 1st Line Engineer.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide 1st-line ICT support to staff and students, assisting with technical issues relating to hardware, software, systems and devices.
2. Support the setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment including laptops, desktop computers, printers, mobile devices and audio-visual equipment.
3. Assist with the installation, configuration and updating of software and applications across the College.
4. Respond to ICT support requests in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues where appropriate.
5. Develop effective customer service skills by building positive working relationships with colleagues, students and external stakeholders.
6. Use College systems, equipment and digital technologies safely, securely and in accordance with College policies and procedures.
7. Maintain accurate records of support requests, equipment and completed work using manual and computerised systems.
8. Ensure compliance with data protection, cyber security and information governance requirements when handling sensitive or personal information.
9. Work collaboratively within the ICT team, supporting colleagues, attending meetings and contributing positively to team objectives.
10. Manage workloads, apprenticeship assignments and training activities effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.
11. Participate fully in apprenticeship training, reviews and development activities, applying learning within the workplace.
12. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD), learning new technologies and developing technical knowledge and skills
