About The Candidate We are looking for a logical and organised professional, who is able process information and provide excellent customer service to stakeholders. Those wanting to apply for the post, will need to be able to balance the use of technical skills and that of people skills, specifically stakeholder management both in and out of the immediate People & Organisational Development teams. About The Role This role has become available due to one of our current People Assistants being successful in their application for another role outside of the organisation. This means that we are looking for permanent replacement to support with the embedding of a New People and Payroll system and ensure that transactional tasks are completed to ensure a smooth operation takes place for our customers. The role can be based at either our Bede or Ashington Campuses, there will be the expectation for visibility at both campuses, so there will be regular travel involved. The amount of travel can be negotiable. It is a truly exciting time to join the team as the implementation of a new People & Payroll System is well on the way and there is plenty of opportunity to influence change and embed best practice. Role Responsibilities Process all people related changes via the People & Payroll System Onboarding new starters and following key legislation in regards to recruitment Partner with the your allocated areas to provide excellent customer service Record and monitor all staff absence Support the people Advisors with employee relations cases Ensure that compliance is water tight and in line with key legislation Qualifications Level 2 in English and Maths Level 3 Qualification (preferably CIPD Level 3) Essential Skills & Experience General administration background, including dealing with complex information, producing reports and ensuring accuracy Experience of maintaining comprehensive records Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information Excellent attention to detail IT literacy including spreadsheets, word processing, reports and databases Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexibly and positive about change Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines Desirable Skills & Experience Previous experience of working within a busy HR Department Experience of using HR information systems What’s in it for you?
