Financial Controller - Hereford - Rapidly growing business - Looking for a hands-on Controller My client is a reputable family-owned and well-established manufacturing business based in Hereford. About the Role We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Financial Controller to lead our finance operations and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage a small finance team and take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and controls across the group. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations of the Finance department, including AP and Management Accountants. Prepare monthly management accounts, board packs, and weekly trading reports. Deliver consolidated group accounts and manage year-end close with auditors. Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Ensure compliance with HMRC (VAT, corporate tax, PSA, P11D). Manage treasury and cash flow, optimise payment terms. Conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvement. Provide customer profitability analysis and support non-finance budget holders. Oversee purchase ledger and trading agreements. Develop and mentor the finance team to create a high-performing environment.
