The Opportunity
At Stantec, we’re leading the energy transition by combining the strength of a large company with the agility of specialised teams to think big and tackle the hardest challenges. Join us, and you’ll be at the forefront of an evolving industry creating renewable energy solutions, modernising the electrical grid, and developing natural gas infrastructure.
As part of one of the world’s top design firms, you’ll have the chance to create connections, grow professionally, and help build our clean energy future. Are you an experienced Protection & Control Technical Director with a background in the energy sector?
Due to our continued success, we are looking to bring on a Technical Director specialising in secondary design (Protection & Control). As a member of our P&C community, you will work on projects across multiple disciplines, including HVDC, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, and connection schemes.
In this role you will lead and collaborate with a passionate team of engineers on projects up to 400kV, taking them from concept through detailed design and supporting them during construction and energisation. Ideally, you will have experience working with key T&D clients in the UK.
Additionally, you will have the chance to work on innovation, standardisation, technology assessment, and collaboration with suppliers on new products and services.
You will join a growing and collaborative team, partnering with various clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry‑wide efficiency and environmental challenges. With our ambitious growth plans, there are numerous development opportunities within our teams. This is your chance to play a crucial role in the UK energy transition.
