About The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students. You’ll work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. You’ll be providing tailored support to individual students or small groups, helping them access the curriculum and encouraging independence, confidence, and success.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the class teacher/tutor in delivering high-quality education for all students.
* Assist with the implementation of school policies and procedures, ensuring a consistent and effective learning experience.
* Provide appropriate and personalised support to students, enabling them to engage with the curriculum as independently as possible.
* Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students in line with school values and policies.
* Help manage classroom equipment and resources, reporting any maintenance needs as necessary.
* Contribute to the organisation of the classroom, including student groupings, displays, and learning materials, with consideration for the needs of students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about education and are committed to helping children and young people thrive.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

* A genuine interest in working with students with SEMH or additional needs
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Patience, resilience, and a proactive mindset
* Experience in an educational or residential setting (desirable but not essential)
* A willingness to learn and develop within the role
* A full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential - we have students participating in various offsite activities each week, so staff flexibility to support these outings is highly valued

About Us
