Job summary
This role is an exciting career development opportunity for anyone at B7 wishing to progress into a more clinical specialist role whilst developing their operational and strategic leadership experience, or an existing B8a wishing to broaden their portfolio. We are looking for someone who is keen to gain experience leading high quality care and work within a diverse community and workforce.
The successful candidate will have proven clinical leadership skills and experience across medical and surgical specialisms including critical care in acute settings, with demonstrable compassionate and inclusive leadership skills. They will also have evident education experience, alongside experience in implementing change and a drive for improvement.
Main duties of the job
To lead the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of high quality, safe, effective and efficient care across the medical/surgical and critical care unit.
To work in partnership with the other respiratory clinical leads across site to evolve respiratory physiotherapy services to meet local, regional and national requirements and priorities.
To manage the occupational therapy team working within the medical and surgical wards. To support the senior occupational therapist with operational service structure alongside clinical OT specialists.
To work in partnership within the organisation, with the Senior Consultant, ward managers influencing and shaping new models of care.
To foster and take innovative approaches to the development of respiratory physiotherapy service delivery amongst multiple teams
To be an expert practitioner in physiotherapy provision to patients in specialist area(s) of respiratory physiotherapy practice. Working with an advanced level of professional autonomy, accountability and scope of practice
To have a leading role in the development of quality improvement and research in area of clinical practice and / or service areas across the organisation
