A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to take on a leadership position within a friendly, forward-thinking small-animal practice currently entering an exciting new phase of growth and refurbishment.

About the Role
As Head Nurse, you’ll be a key figure in day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of clinical care and nurturing a positive, efficient workplace culture.
Responsibilities
* Oversee nursing standards, compliance, and day-to-day coordination
* Lead and mentor a developing nursing team, helping them grow in confidence and capability
* Support anaesthesia, surgical and inpatient care – typically 5–7 routine ops per day
* Collaborate closely with the leadership team on workflow, scheduling, and clinic efficiency
* Take initiative in non‑clinical areas such as training, stock control, and client experience
* Play a key part in increasing nurse utilisation and driving best‑practice nursing delivery
* The caseload is steady and routine — ideal for those who enjoy structure and quality over chaos. Occasional orthopaedic work provides variety but without emergency pressures
