Area Operations Manager – Dental Group
Location: Greater London (Hybrid, with travel across practices)
Salary: £65,000 per annum + £13,000 Bonus + Travel Expenses

Are you a commercially focused operations leader with experience managing multi-site healthcare services across both NHS and private settings?
Compass Associates is partnering with a fast-growing healthcare provider on the appointment of a Area Operations Manager. This is a key leadership role, responsible for operational excellence, driving revenue growth, and delivering outstanding patient experiences across a large portfolio of dental practices in Greater London and the surrounding areas.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will oversee day-to-day management and commercial performance across your region. This is a hands-on partnership role that requires balancing financial accountability, leadership of practice teams, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead operations across a network of NHS and private healthcare practices
* Drive revenue and EBITDA growth, ensuring delivery of budgets and P&L targets
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with practice partners and managers
* Motivate, mentor, and develop multi-site teams, fostering a high-performance culture
* Implement scalable systems and processes to enhance efficiency and output
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, governance, and quality standards
* Support the integration of newly acquired practices into the group, ensuring a smooth transition
* Collaborate with the Head of Operations and senior leadership team to align regional delivery with wider strategic plans
Candidate Profile
* 2+ years’ experience at Regional/Area Operations Manager level
* Must have experience in the Dental industry
* Used to fully managing and commercially driving on a multi-site level with 10+ practices
* Strong commercial acumen, with proven ability to deliver against budgets and drive financial performance
* Experience in managing multi-site healthcare services, balancing NHS contracts with private provision
* Strategic thinker with a track record of improving operational efficiency and patient journeys
* Strong leadership and people management skills, able to inspire and develop teams across multiple sites
* Based in Greater London or surrounding areas, with flexibility to travel regularly and work occasional weekends
