As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will inspire and equip students with practical skills and creative thinking necessary for design and technology subjects. Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver stimulating Design Technology lessons across Key Stages. Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills development. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices. Requirements for Design Technology Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Recent experience teaching Design Technology in UK schools is preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply. A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
