Permanent, full time position Construction recycling materials Salary Allowance RDOs About the role The City of Ryde is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and safety conscious Weighbridge/Plant Operator to join our Porters Creek Construction Recycling Centre located in North Ryde. The Weighbridge/Plant Operator is the first contact onsite for customers both internal and external. This role requires the operator to weigh inbound and outbound material, ensure the weighbridge is in working order, inspect loads including approval, rejection and record keeping requirements in compliance with Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and City of Ryde standards. Your day to day work will also involve coordinating deliveries, processing purchase orders, stock control of products, support team members to maintain and keep the site clean, regularly operating a Front End Loader and similar plant to Load trucks, check and push up stockpiles, load pipes, operate fork attachments, and move various products stored onsite. You will also assist other team members as and when required. About you You bring with you a sound understanding of weighbridge activities and standards relevant to the Construction Recycling industry, as well as significant experience operating a Front End Loader. We require the successful applicant to hold excellent customer service and communication skills, an ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment, high level organisation skills, good computer skills (including MS Office), sound literacy and numeracy skills, problem solver, proactive and team focused. In addition, you will also have: Hold a current Work Health & Safety General Induction Certificate (white card) Significant experience in operating a Front End Loader to move large quantities of materials Current NSW Driver's Licence Demonstrated experience working with construction materials recycling such as concrete, bitumen etc. Proven experience in the accurate preparation and maintenance of computer related records Y our commencing salary: Will be in a range from $59,126 to $72,430 p.a. Superannuation Adverse Working Conditions allowance. Your entry rate of pay subject to your job related experience, driving licence held and any other tickets/licences.
