As a
Data Reconciliation Analyst
, you will support police forces and key stakeholders by investigating and resolving data anomalies on the National DNA Database (NDNAD) and Police National Computer (PNC). Your work will help maintain the quality and reliability of national forensic data, contributing to public safety and justice.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the criminal justice system in maintaining the integrity of the National DNA Database (NDNAD).
Key responsibilities:
* Database Analysis
: Interrogate NDNAD and PNC systems to identify and investigate data discrepancies.
* Investigative Reporting
: Research anomalies and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective actions to uphold data integrity.
* Data Correction
: Implement necessary amendments to ensure accurate DNA profile loading and record consistency.
* Stakeholder Liaison
: Collaborate with police officers, support staff, and forensic experts to resolve anomalies, including identity issues and administrative errors.
* Advisory Role
: Provide guidance on biometric data retention and legislation, including the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
* Information Requests
: Support responses to Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information requests.
* System Transition Support
: Contribute to the transition from PNC to the Law Enforcement Data Service (LEDS), including user acceptance testing (UAT).
