What you will do
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Mobile Device Services, you will be a member of a highly motivated team that designs, builds and maintains infrastructure services for DWP mobile devices. You will be responsible for maintaining and managing all aspects of the service and for designing and implementing infrastructure services, working closely with Architecture and Engineering teams. Projects may include designing and building MDM components and integrations, remote access VPNs, backend services (such as custom APIs and IIS web apps), writing and maintaining scripts, and managing cloud-hosted infrastructure in AWS and Azure using Infrastructure as Code.
Location: Blackpool or Manchester (hybrid model).
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – some time at home and some time in a hub.
Pay: Up to £68,517.
Pension: Employer contributions of 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
Holidays: Generous leave starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days over time; up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time plus public holidays.

What skills, knowledge and experience you will need
 * Influential with strong communication and leadership skills.
 * Significant demonstrable experience of building, configuring, administering and supporting infrastructure technologies for Mobile Devices (iOS/Android) – e.g., Workspace One/Intune.
 * Expert knowledge of Enterprise Mobility Management software and principles; experience deploying, configuring and supporting mobile clients such as Apple iOS and Samsung Knox devices.
 * Extensive experience with Cloud Hosted infrastructure services in AWS and Azure, including networking principles in secure environments and deploying infrastructure via CI/CD pipelines.
 * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure / Entra ID / Intune configuration and policies, including Identity principles, SSO and Certificate Based Authentication.
 * Ability to troubleshoot, own and manage problem records, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA); familiarity with Change and Incident management within ITIL.
